renata meconse (dj ren) is an anishinaabekwe living in winnipeg, manitoba. her community is pinaymootang first nation in treaty territory two.
taking her love of music, she moved from enjoying it and being the "selector" of music with friends and family, to learning the basics of turntables and mixing. she appreciates many genres going as far back as the 80's but loves the 90's to present music ranging from dance to hip hop.
