Aboriginal Music Week set for another great year

September 28, 2010

Year 2 of Aboriginal Music Week features an expanded slate of concerts, a new conference for Aboriginal presenters, and a great film event. The website has also been improved and festivalgoers will be able to purchase and print their concert tickets from www.aboriginalmusicweek.ca.

“We have eight concerts planned for Aboriginal Music Week 2010 with a great group of Aboriginal artists from across the country,” says Aboriginal Music Manitoba chairperson Alan Greyeyes. “Ticket prices for the family concerts start at $5 and top out at $12, with free admission to the Métis Jamboree on October 29 for Elders and children under eight. We’re hoping to attract more families with lower ticket prices and concerts in family-friendly venues this year.”

The festival lineup will be announced at the beginning of October and tickets will go on sale at the same time. The concert themes, venues locations, and ticket prices are available below.
