Get ready to "Take the Fort!" on Tuesday night!

Festival Program cover Aboriginal Music Week starts with a bang on Tuesday, November 1 with "Take the Fort! presented by Grassroots News" at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Métis fiddle legends John Arcand and Darren Lavallee bring the music, while The Métis Club Traditional Dancers and fan favorites Slick & Lil' J bring the square dancing.

The show features a re-enactment of the Red River Resistance by the Puppet Folk on video.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and the music starts at 7:30 pm sharp.

Tickets are just $10 and still availble at the Canadian Plains Gallery and The Urban Bakery (downtown).
