Tanya Tagaq and Murray Porter earn WCMA nominations
Tanya Tagaq and Murray Porter, who are booked for Aboriginal Music Week this year, earned nominations for the 2012 Western Canadian Music Awards. The announcement was made on June 5 by the Western Canadian Music Alliance.
Tagaq's Anuraaqtuq is in the running for Aboriginal Recording of the Year, while Porter's Songs Lived & Life Played is nominated in the Aboriginal and Blues categories.
The winners will be announced at a gala award show in Regina on Sunday, September 30.
