The Indigenous Top Three
'Tis the season for year end lists and we got our first annual "Indigenous Top Three" all set to go. The Aboriginal Music Manitoba board and a number of our artistic brothers and sisters have identified their favourite songs released by Indigenous artists in the last 12-or-so-months to help you discover some great new music.
Leonard Sumner, George Leach, and A Tribe Called Red are referenced a lot. Some of the quality "deep cuts" include songs by Nahko Bear, Northern Cree, Drezus, and Inez Jasper.
The board lists come from Melissa Spence, Francine Compton-Padilla, Kim Wheeler, Teresa Clifton, Sandra Seidel, and Alan Greyeyes.
