Six Aboriginal artists earn noms for the 2014 JUNO Awards

A Tribe Called Red

A Tribe Called Red, Desiree Dorion, Inez Jasper, George Leach, Amanda Rheaume, and Nathan Cunningham nabbed nominations for the 2014 JUNO Awards. The announcement was made by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences at a press conference in Toronto on February 4.

A Tribe Called Red is leading the way with nominations in the Breakthrough Group of the Year and Electronic Album of the Year categories.

Dorion, Jasper, Leach, Rheaume, and Cunningham have albums in the running for the Aboriginal Album of the Year.

The 2014 JUNO Award winners will be announced at two ceremonies in Winnipeg at the end of March. The televised award show is set for Sunday, March 30 at the MTS Centre and tickets go on sale on February 14.
