May 30, 2012

Samantha Crain

We're proud to announce that Samantha Crain, Murray Porter, A Tribe Called Red, Moe Clark, Zuzuka Poderosa & Kush Arora, Tanya Tagaq, LightningCloud, and Gary Farmer & The Troublemakers will be performing at Aboriginal Music Week in Winnipeg this year.

Hooray!

The festival kicks off on Tuesday, October 30 with an innovative opening night featuring Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq and the poetic Moe Clark. The Aboriginal Music Week Safe Halloween is set for October 31, followed by a Samantha Crain concert at the West End Cultural Centre on November 1. JUNO Award winning bluesman Murray Porter will headline Friday night at The Windsor Hotel while Zuzuka Poderosa & Kush Arora support A Tribe Called Red at The Pyramid Cabaret that same night. Saturday's entertainment includes a hip hop concert for youth at the West End Cultural Centre, followed by nightclub concerts with LightningCloud at The Pyramid Cabaret and Gary Farmer & The Troublemakers at The Windsor Hotel.

We'll be announcing a second and third group of artists later this summer, so rest assured that we're bringing even more great entertainment to Winnipeg this Fall.

Festival Passes go on sale August 7, 2012.
