TAGAQ: Tagaq has been described as indescribable. When Tanya Tagaq Gillis' music fills your ears - either in person or on her CDs - she is genuinely one of those rare artists whose sounds and styles are truly groundbreaking. ‘Inuit throat singer' is one part of her sonic quotient. So are descriptions like ‘orchestral' ‘hip-hop-infused' and ‘primal'...but these words are not usually used collectively. In the case of Tagaq, however - especially on her sophomore disc Auk-- they are.

COLETTE TRUDEAU: Colette Trudeau is Métis singer/songwriter, who first shot to notoriety as a vocalist for the band LiveonRelease. Trudeau has co-written the hit single “I’m afraid of Britney Spears” which appears in the movie “Dude, Where’s My Car?” as well as had her song "I Don't Wanna Know" added to CHUM radio stations across Canada. She has performed with acts such as Hedley and Faber Drive and has headlined shows all across Canada.

Colette Trudeau is determined to bring together her aboriginal heritage into mainstream music in order to have a positive impact on aboriginal people across Canada. She is full of raw energy, power and drive.

WINNIPEG'S MOST: Winnipeg’s Most features the vocal stylings of Charlie Fettah, Jon-C and Brooklyn and the beatmaking genius of JUNO Award nominated producers Stomp and Jaymak. The group’s self titled debut has earned them two top spots on the www.streetzfm.ca chart along with four nominations at the 2010 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.

BURNT-PROJECT 1: Burnt-Project 1 is a Juno Award winning collection of musicians lead by the multi-talented David Boulanger. Currently working on their third studio album, The Black List, Burnt Project 1 works from a multi-coloured palette of music including African, Middle Eastern and Latin Beats. They have a big band horn section that is infused with jazzy, bluesy, rock and roll and everything in between. And you can dance to it! Dave says: “The only explanation for this madness is, the "love of sound and movement.” These guys always put on a high-energy live show that will leave you wanting more.
