Native artists heading to SXSW

Angel Haze, A Tribe Called Red, Samantha Crain, Yelawolf, LightningCloud, and Aboriginal Music Week alumni World Hood and Zuzuka Poderosa have showcases set for SXSW in Austin, Texas next week. The festival is dubbed the biggest and most anticipated convergence of all things music and each year hundreds of bands fill the city's venues in hopes of landing more gigs, signing record deals, and garnering media attention.

2013 marks the 27th anniversary of the festival and Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Lion, Major Lazer, Green Day, Tegan and Sara, Iggy and The Stooges, Talib Kweli, and Dead Prez are also in the mix.

SXSW Music runs March 12-17.
