The sākihiwē festival and the North Point Douglas Women's Centre (NPDWC) are working together to present blues legend Billy Joe Green, Inuit throat singer Nikki Komaksiutiksak, singer/songwriter Gabrielle Fontaine, the Southern Thunderbird Medicine Drum, and artists from Studio 393 at the Austin Street Festival on Friday, August 2.
the sākihiwē festival is teaming up with the north point douglas womens centre (npdwc) to present shanley spence, ila barker hellnback, and studio 393 at the austin street festival on friday, august 3, 2018. the concert is set for 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on austin street, between selkirk avenue and euclid avenue, and the npdwc also has a dunk tank, bbq, face painting, and street hockey all set for the day.
Aboriginal Music Manitoba (AMM) is excited to announce that it will be partnering with the North Point Douglas Women's Centre (NPDWC) on a fourth free community celebration during Aboriginal Music Week 2015. The event, dubbed the Aboriginal Music Week Stage at the Austin Street Festival, will mirror the format of Aboriginal Music Week's other community celebrations with music workshops, activities for kids, a free BBQ, and a big concert featuring performances by First Nation, Métis, and Inuit acts from across Canada.
