Boogey The Beat, Eekwol available for free workshops in Winnipeg
Music producer Boogey The Beat and award winning hip hop emcee Eekwol will be leading Aboriginal Music Week's first set of outreach workshops in Winnipeg this summer. The duo will be available for small group presentations about their work in music, mentor sessions with music programs in the city, and informal outreach to youth programs looking for Indigenous role models.
Their services will be free of charge for any organizations or programs who are able to host them and they'll be available for July 12, 13, and 14.

Aboriginal Music Week's youth outreach initiatives are made possible by the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

About Eekwol: Eekwol is an award winning hip hop emcee from Cree Territory in Saskatchewan and a member of Muskoday First Nation. For Eekwol, creation brings growth in all aspects of life. About Boogey The Beat: Boogey The Beat, born Les Boulanger, is an Anishinaabe DJ and music producer who got his start making beats for local rappers Wab Kinew, Leonard Sumner, Young Kidd, Drezus, and Winnipeg's Most. In the past couple of years, he's branched out on his own and has quickly built a name for himself in the pow wow step world, earning tens of thousands of streams online and multiple license deals with CBC and VICE.
