We're working with the North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) to present Don Amero, Morgan Grace, Tinge, and the Studio 393 Dance Troupe at the 25th annual Picnic in the Park celebration in Winnipeg's St. John's Park on Saturday, August 23. The festivities will run from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and the site will play host to bouncy castles, the Winnipeg Jets' ball hockey installation, community information stations, and an Indigenous marketplace curated by the sākihiwē festival.
the sākihiwē festival is teaming up with the north end community renewal corporation (necrc) to present richard inman, hoop dancer rylee sandberg, jennifer stevenson's hand drum group, and the studio 393 team at the 20th annual picnic in the park celebration on saturday, august 18, 2018. the concert is set for 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at st. john's park (main street and mountain avenue), and the necrc also has a free bbq, face painting, arts and crafts, and a zumba demonstration all set for the day.

Singer/songwriter Logan Staats, traditional hand drum singers Oogimah Ikwewok, female emcee T-Rhyme, and rapper Mic Jordan will be at three of our four community celebrations delivering 60 minute workshops about their music along with their experience as Indigenous folks in the music industry for any and all youth who are interested.
