Angela Amarualik

Angela Amarualik is a singer songwriter from Igloolik, Nunavut. Growing up in a small Inuit community facing many social challenges, she remained determined to stay positive and set an example for younger generations. In 2018, she released her self-titled debut album, which won an Indigenous Music Award and received three nominations. Following this success, Angela began touring and conducting music workshops for Inuit youth, mentored by the late Kelly Fraser.

In October 2022, she released her second album, Uvannik, featuring the hit single "Summa Tamaani," which climbed the Indigenous Music Countdown charts. That same year, she won Indigenous Artist/Group of the Year at the Arctic Music Awards. In December 2024, she was the featured artist on the NUPOP South tour, and in May 2025, Angela was a special guest for Susan Aglukark’s 30th anniversary of This Child cross-country tour as a protegee for GGPAA’s mentorship program.

Once an extremely shy child, Angela has grown into a confident, independent artist. Her goal is to share her culture, uplift Inuit youth, and create music that resonates globally.
