The 17th annual sākihiwē festival, set for June 25 - 28, will include a ticketed concert at The Park Theatre on Thursday night, performances at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport and The Forks on Friday, and block parties at the Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre and Central Park on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

We're super proud to announce that we have renamed our annual round dance in memory of the late Honourable Murray Sinclair. The change is a collaborative effort with the Sinclair family to give community members an opportunity to remember, celebrate, and honor the legacy of a remarkable man, while singing, dancing, and socializing in that good way.

We're working with the North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) to present Don Amero, Morgan Grace, Tinge, and the Studio 393 Dance Troupe at the 25th annual Picnic in the Park celebration in Winnipeg's St. John's Park on Saturday, August 23. The festivities will run from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and the site will play host to bouncy castles, the Winnipeg Jets' ball hockey installation, community information stations, and an Indigenous marketplace curated by the sākihiwē festival.
We're working with the North Point Douglas Women's Centre to present Brandi Vezina, Tinge, the Mason Sisters Hoop Dancers, and youth from Studio 393 at the Austin Street Festival on Friday, August 22, 2025. The sākihiwē festival stage will be set up on the corner of Austin Street and Lorne Avenue and the NPDWC will have a free BBQ, activity stations for kids, community information stations, and portable toilets set up between Euclid Avenue and Selkirk Avenue from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
