Call for Submissions, sākihiwē festival 2026
We’re currently accepting artist updates and submissions for our 2026 programming. First Nation, Inuit, Métis, and Indigenous artists from Turtle Island and beyond are invited to submit an update or an application for the 2026 edition of the sākihiwē festival and the sākihiwē summer outreach concert series.
The 2026 edition of the sākihiwē festival is set for June 26 - 28 in Winnipeg, and the outreach concerts will run in July and August.
Submission Deadline
Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:59 pm CST
All submissions must be sent online through the Google Form. Email, fax, and physical submissions will not be accepted.
Submissions are closed for 2026.
Important Notes
- We need promotional photos and performance videos from artists so we can market them to our audiences.
- We take music to Indigenous and newcomer families, so performers may be required to provide a child abuse registry check for all members and support staff.
- We rely on project grants, which often come closer to our festival and concert dates, so performance offers for local artists might not be sent out until March.
- We will keep submissions on file for consideration in 2026.
