25th Annual Picnic in the Park
We're working with the North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) to present Don Amero, Morgan Grace, Tinge, and the Studio 393 Dance Troupe at the 25th Annual Picnic in the Park celebration in Winnipeg's St. John's Park on Saturday, August 23. The festivities will run from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and the site will play host to bouncy castles, the Winnipeg Jets' ball hockey installation, community information stations, and an Indigenous marketplace curated by the sākihiwē festival.
The NECRC has a free lunch service planned and we'll have picnic tables set up near the stage, but everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, umbrellas for shade, and a refillable water bottle.

ACCESSIBILITY
St. John’s Park has three paved walkways that lead into the park from Main Street. These walkways don’t have stairs or barriers. All community information tents will be set up along the paved walkways.
There is another barrier-free paved walkway on the corner of St. John’s Avenue and Fowler Street, which is closer to the sākihiwē festival stage. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to drop off a relative, friend, or client at this entry way because St. John’s Avenue will be closed and we’ll need to open the gates for vehicles.
Parking is available on public streets. Unfortunately we don’t have dedicated parking spots available for vehicles that have a Manitoba Parking Permit for Persons with Disabilities.
Accessible portable toilets will be set up next to the paved walkway that runs alongside St. John’s Avenue.
FUNDING PARTNERS
We acknowledge the Government of Canada, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Manitoba Arts Council, and the Winnipeg Arts Council for their financial support of the sākihiwē festival’s outreach programming.
