Juurini
Juurini is the Inuit name for singer-songwriter Joey Partridje. Originally from Kuujjuaq, Juurini sings in his native language the memories of the north, the smells and sounds that woke him up in the morning in an ambient folk using his guitar and traditional instruments. After several tours in packed arenas of Nunavik and Nunavut, making the crowds shout at the top of their lungs, Juurini settles down with his folk and rock flavored songs already sung by thousands of people across the great territory of the Canadian tundra. He brilliantly blends his Inuktitut poetry and Inuit musical traditions with the sound of folk and ambient guitars to give the listener the experience of the sweetness of the north.
