kindred || Nuit Blanche 2020 w/ Wall-to-Wall and friends
kindred – Collaborative Music and Art Video
The sākihiwē festival is partnering with the Wall-to-Wall (opens in new tab), Urban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art Gallery (opens in new tab), and the Winning Art Gallery (opens in new tab) to launch and celebrate a collaborative music and art video – kindred.
kindred will feature youth from #walltowallwpg’s dance and vocal performance mentorship (opens in new tab), with a portion of the video produced by mentored youth and BNB Studios. This woven-together video will include performances by Eekwol and T-Rhyme presented by the sākihiwē festival and Bret Parenteau presented by Urban Shaman.
The event will broadcast live to the sākihiwē festival’s YouTube channel, the Wall-to-Wall Facebook page, and the Urban Shaman’s Vimeo channel. It will also be projected onto the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s exterior for Nuit Blanche audiences in Winnipeg.

Le festival sākihiwē s'associe au Wall-to-Wall (s'ouvre dans un nouvel onglet), à Urban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art Gallery (s'ouvre dans un nouvel onglet), et à Winning Art Gallery (s'ouvre dans un nouvel onglet) pour lancer et célébrer une vidéo collaborative de musique et d'art – kindred.
kindred mettra en vedette des jeunes issus du mentorat en danse et en performance vocale de #walltowallwpg (s'ouvre dans un nouvel onglet), avec une partie de la vidéo produite par ces jeunes encadrés et par BNB Studios. Cette vidéo, réalisée en montage, comprendra des performances d'Eekwol et de T-Rhyme présentées par le festival sākihiwē et Bret Parenteau présenté par Urban Shaman.
L'événement sera diffusé en direct sur la chaîne YouTube du festival sākihiwē, la page Facebook de Wall-to-Wall, et la chaîne Vimeo d'Urban Shaman. Il sera également projeté sur l'extérieur de la Winnipeg Art Gallery pour les spectateurs de Nuit Blanche à Winnipeg.
