sākihiwē music Thursdays – New Episodes (English)
We're bringing sākihiwē music Thursdays back with six new episodes set to hit the NCI FM airwaves along with Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram in the last quarter of 2021. Each episode will include an hour‐long radio performance and a four‐song video performance for audiences across NCI FM country and beyond.
The series kicks off in October with performances by Tataskweyak Cree Nation's Sebastian Gaskin and Fontine, a nehiyaw iskwew singer/songwriter with family ties in Cowessess First Nation.

The radio episodes will hit the airwaves in Manitoba (and on ncifm.com) at 7:00 pm CDT with the video performances airing on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram earlier in the day.
Episodes three to six will be announced in November and December.
sākihiwē music Thursdays was launched on February 2, 2021 with the financial help of the Safe at Home Manitoba program. The project takes recorded performances by Indigenous artists to Indigenous families both online and off.
Inuit throat singer Nikki Komaksiutiksak, country singer Desiree Dorion, the legendary C‐Weed Band, mezzo‐soprano opera singer Rhonda Head, singer/songwriter Billy Simard, fiddle master Patti Kusturok, and hip hop artist Mattmac entertained audiences in the first round of the project.

sākihiwē music Thursdays – Nouveaux épisodes (Français)
Nous ramenons « Musique Jeudi » avec sākihiwē. Six nouveaux épisodes seront diffusés sur les ondes de NCI FM, ainsi que sur Facebook, YouTube et Instagram, au dernier trimestre de 2021. Chaque épisode comprendra une performance radio d’une heure et une performance vidéo de quatre chansons pour le public à travers le pays sur NCI FM.
La série débute en octobre avec des performances de Sebastian Gaskin, issu de la Tataskweyak Cree Nation, et de Fontine, une auteure-compositrice-interprète nehiyaw iskwew ayant des liens familiaux avec la Première nation de Cowessess.

Les épisodes radio seront diffusés au Manitoba (et sur ncifm.com) à 19h00 CDT, tandis que les performances vidéo seront diffusées sur Facebook, YouTube et Instagram plus tôt dans la journée.
Les épisodes trois à six seront annoncés en novembre et décembre.
