- Kitigan Zibi School receives $10,000 MusiCounts grant The Kitigan Zibi School in Maniwaki, Quebec recently hosted a traditional feast and acknowledged the support of the MusiCounts Band Aid program along with the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). The school received a $10,000 grant to purchase a variety of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, a keyboard, an electronic drum set and amplifiers.

- Aboriginal nominees set to take JUNOFest by storm Murray Porter, Bruthers of Different Muthers, Flying Down Thunder and Rise Ashen, Donny Parenteau, and Randy Wood are set to take JUNOFest 2012 by storm. All five Aboriginal Album of the Year nominees will perform at the Cafe Dekcuf (221 Rideau Street) in Ottawa from 9pm-1130pm on Friday, March 30.
