- Aboriginal Music Week 2014: The full festival details, tickets on sale Aboriginal Music Manitoba is excited to announce the full lineup for Aboriginal Music Week 2014. The festival, now in it's sixth year, will include three big community celebrations, six workshops for youth, a lunch hour showcase, two big concerts at The Cube in Winnipeg's Old Market Square, two nightclub concerts, two film events, a series of music management consultations, and two of the only networking events for the Aboriginal music community in Canada.

- Call for crafter and retailer booths at Aboriginal Music Week 2014 Aboriginal Music Week is seeking applications from First Nation, Métis, and Inuit crafters, visual artists, and retailers interested in setting up 10x10 booths at The Cube in Winnipeg's Old Market Square during the Indigenous Music Without Borders presented by APTN concerts on Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23. The concerts are set for 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. nightly.

- Laura Otman, Lido Pimienta bringing new music to Spence Neighbourhood Aboriginal Music Week and the Spence Neighbourhood Association are partnering on a big community event at the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre on Sunday, August 24. The celebration, dubbed the Spence Neighbourhood Block Party presented by Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation, will feature an outdoor concert, community BBQ, music workshops, and activities for the kids. Best of all, it’s entirely free.
- APTN adding two big nights to Aboriginal Music Week this summer The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) is partnering with Aboriginal Music Week to add two big nights of music to the festival this summer. The concerts, dubbed "Indigenous Music Without Borders," are set for 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on August 22 and 23 at The Cube in Winnipeg's Old Market Square.
- A Tribe Called Red collaborator coming to Aboriginal Music Week Lido Pimienta is a recording artist of Indigenous ancestry who carries an extraterrestrial energy, similar to that of Tanya Tagaq or Bjork. Her family roots are in La Guajira, a north-eastern region of Colombia, and she recently wrapped up a tour and a number of recording sessions with festival favourites A Tribe Called Red.
- Introducing the Saturday Night Summer Jam The Saturday Night Summer Jam will feature local party legends Primetime Empyre, up-and-comer DJ Miss Vee, hip hop group Mob Bounce, and prehispanico and trap-tribal music innovator DJ Javier Estrada.
- Peguis, Alaska, and Nuevo León uniting at Aboriginal Music Week Aboriginal Music Week is brining together three outstanding Indigenous music producers for a night of cutting edge electronic music, spanning two physical borders and countless musical ones. DJ Javier Estrada (Nuevo León) will be joined by Alaska-born Astronomar and Peguis First Nation's very own Exquisite Ghost.
- Indigenous Music Without Borders t-shirts unveiled Aboriginal Music Week is excited to unveil the t-shirt and sticker design for the 2014 edition of the festival. The "Indigenous Music Without Borders" brand was crafted by DGTL/NVJO and it features our new "IndigenousExcellence" hashtag.
